AzScienceNet expands eduroam service in Azerbaijan

AzScienceNet has expanded the eduroam service in Azerbaijan with the connection of Nakhchivan State University (NSU) and Azerbaijan Technical University (ATU). The implementation was carried out with technical support from the AzScienceNet Network Operations Center at the Institute of Information Technology.

As part of the rollout, modern Wi-Fi infrastructure was deployed across both campuses and eduroam service was activated in accordance with international research and education standards. Students, faculty staff, and researchers at NSU and ATU can now access secure wireless internet on their home campuses and at eduroam-enabled institutions worldwide.

The expansion supports the development of digital infrastructure for Azerbaijan’s research and education community. eduroam service is currently available at 35 organisations across the country, with further deployments planned at additional universities and research institutions.
